Floyd Grant Binkle, 59 of 223 Forman Ave. died Friday at Stratford General Hospital.

Born in New Hamburg, he was the son of the late Leslie Binkle and the former Mary Battler.

He was employed at Hendrickson Mfg. Co. Ltd.  He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Stratford Branch No. 8, and served with the Canadian Infantry during the Second World War.

Mr. Binkle is survived by his wife, the former Elva Monteith; one son, Randy, and his wife, Wendy of 24 Mayberry Place; two grandchildren, Tracy and Trevor; two brothers, Alex of Kathryn Crescent, and Ward of Brunswick Street; and one sister, Mrs. Milton (Phylis) Hammer, of RR 5 Stratford.

Friends were received at the Heinbuck funeral home, 156 Albert St., Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Avondale cemetery.  as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
