Allan Arthur Monteith, 71, of RR1 St. Pauls, died today at his home.

Born in the Gore of Downie Township (Embro Rd.), he was a son of the late Arthur Monteith and the former Ella Koch and had farmed all his life.

He was a member of St. Amdrew's Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Robertson; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Joan) Smith, of Atwood; three grandchildren, Brad, Scott and Bonnie; and one sister, Mrs. Floyd (Elva) Binkle, of 223 Forman Ave.

Friends were received at the Heinbuck funeral home, 156 Albert St., Stratford, Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where a service was held 1:30 p.m. Monday. Burial was in avondale cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
