At Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, Ontario, Canada, on Tuesday, November 15, 1994; James E. (Jim) Monteith of Nissouri Township, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Margaret (Matheson) Monteith. Loving father of Ronald & Maribel Monteith, St. George. Loving grandfather of Scott & Yvonne, Kim & Kevin, Shawn & Jo-Anna, Sheri & Mario, Shannon & Daniel. Great-grandfather of Matthew. Dear brother of Eddie Monteith of Harrington, Helen Herman of London, Gordon Monteith of Breslau, Mel & Karen Monteith, Dorothy MacDonald, Oliverne & Angus Meldrum all of West Nissouri Twp., Roy Monteith of Uniondale and Tonny Monteith of Vancouver, B.C. Dear bother-in-law of Bob & Betty Matheson, Jean Matheson all of R.R. 3, Embro and Russell Wood, Hamilton. Predeceased by a son Bruce (1962), brother Donald , sister Elsie; brothers-in-law Ed Fitzsimmons, Harold MacDonald, and Charles Fuller, sisters-in-law Mary, Marion, and Constance Monteith & Annie-Isobel Wood.

The funeral service was held from the L.A. Ball Funeral Chapel (Ball & Sass Ltd.) 7 Water St. N. at St. Marys on Friday, November 18, 1994 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. M. Tubb & Rev. Earl Leiska officiating. Interment followed in Vining's Cemetery.
