Mary B. Monteith (nee Strudley) died on Saturday, January 9, 1999 at the Mitchell Nursing Home. Born in Walkerville, she was a daughter of the late Harry William Strudley and the former Anna McMaster. She was predeceased by her husband Jay Waldo Monteith (member of parliament for Perth 1953-1972). Mother of Sally Wismer of Guelph, Nancy Freeman of Arlington, Virginia, and Mary Jardine of Vancouver, BC. Grandmother of Martha, Markham, Carin, Lynn, Douglas, Stephanie and Carrie. Great-grandmother of Emily, Julia and Stephanie. Predeceased by brother Donald B. Strudley and sister Eleanor Dempsey. A service of remembrance will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 41 Mornington Street, Stratford on Wednesday, January 13, 1999 at 2 p.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice through the Heinbuck Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford, N5A 3K4 (519-271-5062).
