Suddenly at St. Marys Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, September 25, 2001, Evelyn L. (Aitcheson) Monteith formerly of Elizabeth Street, St. Marys, age 86 years. Beloved wife of the late G. Glenn Monteith (1986). Loving mother of David Monteith and wife Pat of Port Hope; Joseph Monteith and wife Sonia of Mississauga; Alex Monteith and wife Sybille of Petersburg, Michigan; Philip Monteith and wife Susan of St. Marys; Eleanor Monteith of Mississauga. Sadly missed by her 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Charlotte Meadows and Bonnie Innes of Tavistock; Eleanor Holmes and husband Bob of Stratford; Bob and wife Marion Aitcheson of London. Dear sister-in-law of Kay Aitcheson of St. Pauls. Predeceased by a son Tom (1969) and a daughter Mary Pethick and her children Jennifer and Tommy (1976) and brothers Allan and David; brothers-in-law Almer Meadows and Calvin Innes Relatives and friends were received at the L. A. Ball Funeral Chapel, 7 Water Street North, St. Marys on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service was held on Friday, September 28, 2001 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dalice Sym officiating. Interment followed in Christ Anglican Cemetery, Lakeside. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Spina Bifada Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. L.A.
