Peacefully at Bonnie Brae Centre in Tavistock, Ontario, Andrew Gordon Henry Monteith in his 89th year.

Beloved husband of the late Marion (Davis) Monteith (1954); loving father of Myrna Irwin, Ardis and Craig Nelson, Dale and Bev Monteith, Cheryl and Larry Pickles, and Glenna Richards.

Dearly loved grandfather of the late Andrea Irwin; Derek, Jason, Myranda and Stephanie Irwin; Kelly, Robbie and Heidi Nelson; Kerry Visutski, Brent, Laurie and Katie Monteith; Darcy and Josh Pickles, Rick and Jodi Neumann; Quincy and Landon Richards.

Great-grandfather of eight.

Dear brother of Eddie, Roy, Dorothy (McDonald) and Oliverne (Fuller/Meldrum).  Brother-in-law of Karen, Margaret and Tonny Monteith.

Predeceased by his parents Andrew Monteith and Edith (McLeod) Monteith; sisters Elsie (Fitzsimmons), Helen (Herman); and brothers Melbourne, Jimmy and Donald Monteith; in-laws Mervyn and Anne Davis, Mary Monteith, Ed Fitzsimmons, Harold McDonald, Connie Monteith and Charlie Fuller.

The funeral service was held from the Harland B. Betzner Funeral Home in Thamesford on Friday, February 15, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Earl Leiska officiating. Interment followed in Vining's Cemetery.
