Mrs. Elva Marie Binkle, age 75, of 223 Forman Avenue, Stratford, passed away suddenly but peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, March 16, 2002. Born in Stratford February 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Monteith and the former Ella Koch.  

She had been employed at Allied Signal (Fram Canada Ltd.) Stratford, for 27 years, retiring in 1990.  She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Stratford.  

Beloved wife of the late Floyd Binkle who predeceased her April 1, 1983.  She is survived by her son Randy Binkle and his wife Ruth, her grandchildren Tracy and her husband Bob Fields, and Trevor Binkle and their mother Wendy, one great-granddaughter, Emily Fields, all of Stratford.  She is also survived by step-grandchildren Leeanne, Jonathan and Joseph, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Alex and Joyce Binkle, Lucy Binkle, all of Stratford, Phyllis and Milt Hammer of Tavistock.  Sadly missed by her canine friend Annie. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by a brother Allen and his wife Elizabeth and by brother-in-law Ward Binkle and sister-in-law Erma Binkle.  

At Elva's request, her body has been bequeathed to the School of Anatomy, University of Western Ontario.  A private family service was held at the W.G.Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford (519-271-7411).  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Humane Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society, through the funeral home.
